The Lets Sponsor Fundraising Platform is a creation of our founder, Bruce Fogelson. As a member of the “Ad Book Committee” and the early days of the Internet, Bruce knew that there had to be a better way to solicit and feature donors and sponsors. During his many years of attending philanthropic events, Bruce saw a majority of event ad books left behind after the event was over. There had to be a better way to increase the use and “shelf-life” of event journals, program books, and ad books. The community members and sponsors were not getting the recognition they paid for and in most cases donating to an ad book was just one more way to give to charity without value. This waste gave Bruce the idea of putting this paper ad book in a digital form where it could live online before, during and well after an event. Bruce quickly turned his idea into a patented process and had two issued US Patents with three pending, titled “Method and Process for Making Advertising (Ad) Books.”
The patent applications date back to 2001 when the Internet was young and took many years to issue. But the Internet was still not as advanced as the concepts that Bruce had envisioned. Long before Facebook or LinkedIn, Bruce imagined a social network for the social and philanthropic world of donors and the causes each hold dear. Not until recently have there been the combination of tools available to make those concepts a reality.
Bruce began to execute his plan to build The Lets Sponsor Fundraising Platform and create the team to carry forward the fundraising solution to nonprofit groups across the country. Countless hours have gone into product development and getting the fundraising solution to our clients so that they can reach new donors and sponsors, raise new revenue streams to achieve their mission, find more sponsors and donors and retain the ones they already have.
